Asha: Split Decision

I paused just long enough to grab my old gear. I strapped on the swords and daggers at a run, like I would do on the occasions I was suprised as the Shadow. A group of us left the Mansion for the Council. We burst through the front doors in time to see Jay freeze one of the hulking guards that patrolled the corridors. I grinned proudly, running up to him and throwing my arms round him. He hugged me back, pleasantly suprised.

"I wasn't going to let you do this one alone." I muttered into his chest, smiling.

"I wouldn't expect you to." He smiled back.

The rest of the group joined us and Harmony. There was a slight moment of awkwardness as Harmony was confronted with most of the Mansion's inhabitants.

"Harmony, we all know you meant well, but did you really think we would let you go and do this alone?" I eventually broke the silence. "I know these corridors and I know the inner workings of the Council. I know who wants what and who hates who and all that. Xavior is still technically a member of the Council. So is Imira. The rest of us can fight and we can help. We've all got our talents and we are all here with you. Like you said, we're a family and families stick together."

There were murmurs of agreement from the rest of them.

"So whats the plan?"

The End
