As I walked away my cheeks were burning.

Idiot! Idiot! Idiot What the HELL were you thinking?! Why-

Someone tapped me on the shoulder, "I'm really sorry." Jake was standing there, I stared at him, not wuite sure what to say. He held my gaze for a moment, then looked away again.

"No I'm sorry. It wasn't my place." I replied softly. My cheeks went even redder.

He frowned, looking down, "I'm such an idiot." He said.

"What?" his comment took me off-guard. I'd expected him to be agressive but he seemed kind of...vulnerable... on his own.

He didn't reply, instead reaching out and pulling me close to him. Our lips met and he held us there for a moment. I didn't expect the rush I felt when he kissed me. Suddenly he broke away, looking at me in shock. I was stunned as well.

Looks like neither of us expected that.

He opened his mouth like he was going to say something, then suddenly turned and ran. He was seriously quick.

Not a chance you're getting away that easy.

I dropped my bag again and sprinted after him, hoping I wouldn't lose him.

"Jake! Jake, wait a minute!" I called after him. After a while he slowed and faced me. We were both breathing heavily from running.

"Jasmine, I'm sorry, I have no idea why-" He gasped out, before I cut him off with a kiss. He wrapped his arms around me and I slid mine around his waist, holding him close. I could feel the lean muscle of his body through the shirts we wore. Eventually we broke away.

I blushed, losening my grip and looking down, although I was smiling as well. I glanced up to see Jake looking at me oddly.

"Sorry..." I murmured, blushing deeper. "I have no idea what came over me.."

I stepped away and turned to head back towards the school.
