Welcome to Saint Lucif's!  Read the sign out by the doorway.

Wow.  It looked like they expected kids to believe that this was a good thing.

"It's time to get out of the car, Kerry."  Said a stern, angry voice.  I looked to my right to see my obese hick of a foster father standing outside the door of the sedan.

I sighed and pulled myself out of the seat, being careful to avoid the man's striking range.  He was known to lash out at me for little to no reason whatsoever.  The proof was the numerous bruises and gashes from all over my body, which my father had told the SRS were 'Play injuries'.

My name is Kerry, and i've been cycled in and out of Foster homes since I was four years old.  Many of them have been abusive, and you don't have to be a genius to figure that one out for yourself.  But I never imagined I'd be in this much trouble, ever.

A week ago, my foster father was having a party and he invited all of his friends.  They were all over forty, and I decided to just stay hidden in my room as much as possible.  Unfortunately, a man looking for the bathroom busted into my room instead.  I was sitting on the bed and apparently he decided I would be a nice midnight snack.

Sick, huh?

I wasn't about to let that happen to me.  I picked up a curtain rod and tried to smack him with it, but he just smacked it away like a fly.  When he smacked it, the end broke off, making it a deadly weapon.  Me, not realizing this, continued to defend myself, only to find that I had impaled his throat.

To make a long story short, I was convicted of manslaughter.  If things were left as they were, I would've just gotten transferred (again) and made to do a certain amount of hours of community service.  The jury was on my side, which made me quite happy.  However, my chivalrous Foster Father argued that I attacked him in cold blood, and that he was completely innocent.

Not sure what to do, the jury reached a conclusion:  Send her to Saint Lucif's.

So much for the jury being on my side.

I walked into the entry hallway of Saint Lucif's and took a deep breath.  "Into the Abyss." I said.

The End
