A bit later, after watching some television, I went back upstairs. I saw Aysh go into Kayden's room, and they were talking. I stopped time to go hide in Kayden's closet. Not very mature, I know. But this sounded interesting. I listened, dumbstruck, but somehow pleased that Aysh was being true to herself.
Their voices were hushed, and I couldn't see, so stopped time to go and see. They were still standing there, Kayden with an expression that I could not fathom. I went to my room to read some more, but really I was wondering what Kayden would make of it...
I was sitting there for a long time, when I heard a knock on the door. I stopped time to see who it was, but them thought better.
"Come in?" I said, wondering who could be on the other side of the door.
