I was being taken away. Away from my friends and family, but that didn't matter much to me. Just that I didn't know where we were going, having been blindfolded. And I thought about what they were going to do to me.
I can control time. As a scientific fanatic, this fits me. Understanding the fabric of time is something I do well. Without this knowledge of how time weaves together, a perfect dance that I control, I might not be able to. Time is curved, and somehow I control this curve.
Little more would anyone else understand, but to be short, for certain people I can make time go slower of faster.
However, for some reason, I couldn't focus enough to make my power work. I couldn't feel the fabric of time, it was just... nothing. It hurt, almost. I screamed, suddenly, at the emptiness of the world. One man grabbed both of my arms and held them behind my back. "Don't you scream!" he said. "I can stuff a rod down your throat so you don't scream, if you wish."
Sooner, later, or whatever time it was, since I could not tell without my powers, I was shoved into a building. The blindfold was removed, and I turned scathingly towards my captors. "Thanks you, sirs." I said, staying quiet as they smiled, probably supressing laughter.
I once again felt it: like it was between my fingers, time was at my grasp. I walked slowly along the corridor, watching happily as I felt the difference in time, slightly shorter, now, then slightly longer as I pushed it together. Making faster the walk, I went around a corner. I almost screamed again, seeing four other girls floating in the air.
"Umm... Hey?" I said.
