"I'm Evan"

Evan sighed as the girl slid out from under the chairs to sit beside him. He watched her from the corner of his eye, still concentrating on the scene before him - the two red-haired women staring shocked at each other.

“Get down!” He hissed at her without turning his head.

“No, I’m not going to do anything stupid.”

Evan decided he could trust her. She seemed responsible enough - quite tough, in fact. He smiled to himself as he thought that.

“Name’s Sarah,” She’d extended a hand towards him. Taking it, he whispered his name to her.

Suddenly, Sarah’s grip tightened on his and she slammed her head down on to her knees.

Evan lowered his face to hers. “Are you sure you’re OK?”

She let go of his hand and pushed him away. Looking up, she composed her features and apologised to him. “I’ll be fine,” she added.

“Sure, you can take care of yourself, right?” Evan repositioned himself against the seat. “You’re pretty strong, aren’t you?” He grinned at her, hoping to ease the tension.

"Callie, no!"

The End
