"What are you going to do then? I mean, about... Alex." Konrad had heard her thoughts. He had been bombarded by them, actually.
"I... I don't know. I suppose he's useful at the moment. And he needs tutoring. I can't let an untrained vampire go." He turned and faced Alex. "Right, Alex, you're going to stay with me. You need to stay with a trained vampire, and I know what drew you here. You didn't know there was a particular reason, right?" Alex shook his head. "Well, that's the Mother of Night for you." Alex looked blank, and Konrad rolled his eyes. "I see you've got a long way to go before becoming a True Vampire. And whilst you're here, tell me everything you can about the rogue that turned you." As he said this, he looked at Pandora. She had growled a few minutes back, and he was worried about her. She thought she was going mad. He just knew that there was a rogue out there who had a thing for taking servants and creating untrained vampires. I won't let her go mad. I WON'T! he yelled in his head, driving back a growing feeling of inadequacy. She needs help and I can help her... I think.
