‘Next time you want to see me, don't make me fight the Devil for you, eh?’ Konrad says, gripping my hand, a smile spreading across his face.
‘Men!’ the leopard woman mutters. Konrad grins, but I shake off his grasp.
‘I didn’t mean to bring you into this at all. I was doing fine by myself.’ I snap. Konrad looks at me dubiously, the doubt in his expression obvious. I can’t understand why Konrad is acting so friendly towards me all of a sudden. We’ve been enemies for so long and a hatred as strong as that doesn’t just die... does it? I shake my head and focus on rebuilding my glamour once again.
