A blue flash streamed past my vision. Red blossomed in the air. A pain that could not be described. My mind was full of fear. Why? Why was this happening? I thought this as I blacked out.
"Iggy, wake up! You're going to be late!" shouted a voice next to my ear.
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" I screamed as I jumped out of bed. My vision was blurry, but I still scanned the room in a frantic manner. It focused to a room, my room. It was just a normal boy's room, nothing special. The thing that caught my eye was the person next to my bed. Those aquamarine orbs stared at me with shock within the borders. Fiery red hair in pig tails, fluttered from a breeze coming from the window. What I would expect from my sister.
"Yay! Iggy is awake!" she shot up and started hopping around the bed. Her little pink dress bounced with her. I didn't appreciate the fact that she woke me up, let alone be in my room.
"What are you doing in my room, Amiee?!"
"Did you forget already, Iggy?"
"Stop calling me that!" It angered me so much to have that stupid nickname.
"Don't be like that, Iggy. She was only making sure that you won't be late." said a voice from behind me. I turned my head to glare at the one who said that. A much more grown up version of Amiee stood in the doorway. She was in her mid teens. My big sister, Flora.
"Late.. What do you mean by.." Realization finally hit me, at that moment. I booked it past started running around the house, putting on clothes, eating toast, and packing my bag all at the same time. It took the effort of the two to finally stop me.
"Iggy! You need to calm down." Flora said as she took the bag from my hands. "Just get dressed, I'll get your stuff packed."
"I can do it myself!" I growled. In the end, though, I gave in. Flora took my bag with Amiee following her. I sighed. What was I going to do with them. They were the only family I knew after mother and father..
I shook my head frantically. Now wasn't the time to think about the past. My future is awaiting me. The two came out of the living room with my bag packed full.
"Here ya go, Iggy! All packed, and ready for your pokemon adventure." Flora said as she gave me the bag. It was a little heavy. What did she put into it?
Amiee suddenly started crying, and hugged me. I wasn't one for emotional outbursts, it didn't suit me. Still I hugged her back all the same. Flora joined in. It felt like everyone was there. A family moment.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Some time passed since then. I was now in front of the lab. I had already passed someone with a Totodile a while back. It seemed that the we would never be in speaking terms. Just as well, I didn't much want to be either. There was something in me that wanted a friend, though.
I entered the building to find that I wasn't the only one here. A few others had already gotten their pokemon. Was I too late? I looked through the selections. So many to choose from. Suddenly, something caught my eye. It was an oshawott. I opened the case, and took it out. The ball opened, and the oshawott appeared in front of me. It was an awkward looking pokemon, a little on the cutesy side. I was about to return it when it fluffed a bit of it's fur up in an arrogant fashion.
"Osh osha ott osha" it cried at me.
"I don't know what you said, but I like your style."
"Wott osha" It said as it took the shell from it's stomach, and posed with it.
"Alright, I'll call you Jurroon from now on."
"Osh!" It smirked. Something tells me that that we were going to get along quite well.
