Starting OffMature

I walk behind everyone else, keeping my head low. "So everyone here has powers. What do you think mine is?" I ask out loud, lifting my head.

"Being an annoying child." Grumpy snarls, man, that dude really doesn't like me.

"Dude, just cause you are uptight about everything doesn't mean you have to take it out on me. Anyways I'm ot a child, well, not really. I'm 15, yes I'm the youngest here and I can act like it but I will treat you with respect if I get it first. You got that Grumpy?" I say, my voice buisness like.

He opens his mouth to say something but Rick cuts in. "She's right. You should be giving her respect, not only because it's the right thing to do but because she can turn you over in a second."

I smile and nod but Grumpy only groans. Guess I won't be getting any respect from him anytime soon.

"Why have you got a bow and arrows?" James asks me. I giggle.

"They look cool." Grumpy rolls his eyes.

"I don't think you should have them, you might hurt one of us or yourself." Alexa say but my smile brightens.

"Don't worry about that, I know how to handle these, my brother taught me and we used to practise every day." I hold my head high thinking about my brother. He could of been whatever he wanted, he was smart, well educated, caring, thoughtful, skillfull but he chose to look after me. I look to the ground, he should of done something he wanted to that way he might still be alive or of not at least he would of done something that he loved.

I shrug. Never sigh, never cry. That's my motto.

"Here we are. Spread out and face me." Rick orders while walking into the battle room.

It looks a bit like a large gym, climbing stuff by one wall and the other stuff pushed to the others, leaving a big area in the middle. I stand next to Faya, I don't really know her but she seems okay, determind.

"Start off by saying how many stones you were hit by and what you can now do." Rick says. I look around, does everyone know what they can do?

My eyes lock with Alexa, she has a worried expression on her face. She must not know what her abilities are either. Man, I wish I was standing with her now.

The End
