Somehow I was managing to drift to sleep in that terrifying room. I was on the brink of unconsciousness when Marc burst into my room making a lot of noise.

"Luke! Luke! Wake up, now!" Marc shook me.

"Geez, Marc, couldn't you have let me get a mere five minutes sleep?" I grumbled. I rolled off the bed and grabbed a shirt. As I pulled it on I asked, "What's up?"

"Eve's not here. She's gone. I can't sense her. She's not in the house. How did I not sense this? You gotta tell everyone, Luke," Marc babbled.

"Why me?"

"'Cause you're the teleporter," Marc rolled his eyes, "I gotta try and find her by tracking. Should be easy, I'm so attuned to her but then if so then why didn't I sense sooner that-" I teleported away. I didn't want to listen to anymore of his nonsense. I teleported outside of Ellie's door and knocked before teleporting ino the room. She jumped and glared at me.

"I did knock," I told her with a grin. She rolled her eyes and then looked at my shirt, which I'd left unbuttoned in my haste to get away from Marc's madness. I grinned more braodly then got serious.

"I've been given the task of telling everyone the news that Eve's not here. Marc says she's gone," I informed Ellie.

"I bet you loved him waking you up," Ellie muttered. I smiled and kissed her forehead.

"I've got to go tell the others," I whispered then teleported to Jade's room. She wasn't there. Great, I thought and appeared in Jake's room. Geez.

Jake looked at me and glared.

"Oh. Sorry," I apologised insincerely then burst out laughing. I couldn't help it. The expression on his face was priceless.

"What do you want?" Jake growled at me. I instantly sobered.

"Marc told me to tell everyone Eve's not here. He's rambling on and I can't make out what's happening. But being the teleporter I have been assigned to telling everyone. Looks like I got two in one, in here though," I teased.

Jade leapt up and stared at me. "What do you mean 'not here'?" Jade demanded, "How is she not here?" Did she not listen to what I said?

"I don't know," I answered, "Ask Marc, he just ran into my room, said that and then told me to spread it." Then I heard yelling. I glanced at Jade.

"William is calling to Lucinda, the door's locked," Jade answered my silent question, "Go and check it out." I nodded.

I appeared by Lucinda's bed. She was shaking and crying. William was banging on the door and yelling Lucinda's name. I absorbed the situation with one glance: the phone in her hand and the pained expression. I turned and unlocked the door. William all but fell ino the room but I was not in the mood to make jokes. I leaned in and whispered briefly the Eve situation. I told him to come down with her when she was ready. He nodded and went to wrap his arms around Lucinda.

I quickly teleported to everyone else's room then finished up in the kitchen. I moved over to Ellie and wound my arms around her waist: not caring what other's thought anymore. It could easily have been Ellie who'd been taken. She glanced up at me, thinking the same thing, and relaxed in my arms.

We all gathered and stared at Marc, waiting for him to speak.

The End
