Everyone was so excited to use the undiscovered working phone, but me. I didn't feel like calling my parents cause I didn't know what to tell them. Even if I tried to explain the situation, I would probably get a referral to the looney bin, something I wanted to avoid.

Making my way through the crowded living room, I went up the stairs straight to my room.  I flopped on my bed, thoughts rushing through my brain.

Sure, I missed my parents, I was even starting to miss Vanessa, no matter how much of a nagger she was. But it didn't look as if I would be getting out of this one easily.  Now that we were going to save the world, I had a responsibility. People's lives were in my hands. The thought didn't thrill me; I had always been irresponsible, it was the Luke way. I hadn't even been able to keep a goldfish alive when I was younger; how was I suppose to save countries?

That's when a thought occured to me. I had teleportation powers. I could just poof my way out of this. I could get out and be home, back to my normal life with my old friends and my parents again.

Excited, I stood up and readied myself. A small thought occurred about the dome that surrounded us, but I didn't see that as much of a problem.  I was confident that my powers could stand up to the challenge. I teleported quickly, and opened my eyes, ready to see the familar sight of my bedroom. Instead I was greeted by the sight of the front of the yard, and the huge house in front.

I tried again, yet I teleported to the same exact place. Again and again, still nothing. Frustrated, I kicked the dome as hard as I could and let out a small, defeated cry.

Simultaneously, I heard another scream, this one more feminine. It sounded like it was coming from the roof, which probably meant that it was Lucinda.  Instinctively, I did the first thing that came to mind and teleported straight to the source of the scream, unsure of what I was going to find when I got there.

The End
