I woke up sweating and concerned. What the hell was that about?
Rachel was still asleep in her bed so I pulled on some trousers and went on to the balcony so that I wouldn't disturb her. My dream had been disturbing. Not the usual at all. Well it had started off as usual, but then that turn of events...
"Hey, what's with you waking up before me again?" Rachel was behind me and I put on a smile before I turned around. "Wow, you look awful."
"I do?" I asked.
"Yeah, did you even sleep?"
"You look drained."
"Cheers. Guess I just need a shower."
"Ok. You go then."
"Thanks. Are you ok, after yesterday I mean?"
"Yeah sure. I mean, it's no picnic, but I got a lot of sleep out of it so that can't be so bad."
"No..." I muttered distracted. "Can't be..."
"You sure you're ok? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"No ghosts. Just a weird dream I guess."
"What sort of weird dream?"
"Nah it's nothing." I grinned. "Anyway, I'm off to shower."
The warm water rushed over me, relaxing my tense muscles and washing away last night. Last night... Carlos. I smiled reflectively. Last night had been... quite an experience. Once my dress was off he seemed to become the man who had been flirting with me over the last few days. He stopped being so careful with me. And we'd been almost upset when Daniel called to say they were returning and we'd had to untangle ourselves from the sheets that had wrapped themselves around us. And he'd murmured in to my ear that he wanted to do that again.
But after the dream...
There was a knock on the bathroom door.
"Blake, Carlos is here."
Shoot. I turned off the shower and left my thoughts with it.
"Tell him I need to get dressed so he better not perve on me." I joked and I heard her repearting it to Carlos and his responding laugh. They talked for a while and then the door closed.
"He's gone." Rachel said. I came out with a towel wrapped around me and found her with red cheeks and a smirk on her face.
"What?" She shrugged. "WHAT?"
"He says he's not sure if it's perving when you've already seen everything." I blushed and groaned. "Oh, and that he's in room thirty one and he doesn't want you to have breakfast before you see him. I think he's prepared a romantic meal."
I paled and then laughed. My dream...
"Neither of us are that type."
"Why not? It's nice. Besides you didn't mind when we went to the vineyard, and you helped Daniel with the picnic I had didn't you?"
"It's different when we're with them, or when I'm setting you up. The romantic stuff is for you Rachel, not for me."
"Then tell me he hasn't completely swept you off your feet."
"He hasn't. We've known each other a couple of days and had sex once. Well, one night. Many times..." I teased to make her blush. "And all that is just people being attracted to each other and enjoying each other."
"Blake, I wish you'd try and be with someone."
"I know you do." I smiled sadly. "But I'm just not up for it. Not now at least. But I have to get dressed, so go have a shower. I'm sure Daniel is just waiting till I've gone to come and take you away on some romance filled day." She blushed and I took this as a yes.
I got dressed with a nervous twisting in my stomach. The dream had set me off, I would have been fine if I hadn't had that. Fine. This better not ruin my day.
"Alright I'm off." I smiled to Rachel.
"Ok, so I won't see you till, what? Tomorrow?" She laughed.
"Cut it out, I'm not that bad. But maybe, yeah." I laughed and grabbed my key, phone and purse, stuffing them in to a bag.
"Ok, well have fun. Be safe."
"You too. No more unguarded drinks. Go hang out with Daniel."
"I will." She smiled.
"Alright." I stopped putting it off and left. Room thirty one huh?
I knocked and the door opened. Carlos was wearing dark jeans and a white t-shirt that clung to him like it was made for him. Which it probably was.
"Bella, you look... delicious." He rolled his tongue around the last word and I grinned.
"You don't look to bad yourself. Can I come in?"
He stood aside and I passed him, making sure I brushed against him as I did. He closed the door and pulled me to him.
"Breakfast?" He asked and I saw the table had food on it. No flowers, no candles... thank god. Just breakfast.
"Sure." He kissed me and I wrapped my arms around him, pulling against him. Mmmm, Carlos' lips tasted of spices and wine. Or what I thought wine would taste like having smelt it.
"Still want breakfast?" He grinned as we stopped kissing.
"Will it wait?"
He didn't answer but grinned and kissed me again.
I lay on the bed and took a sip of the orange juice from the glass Carlos had brought for me.
He ran the fruit over my lips and I smiled, taking a bite from it.
"You're divine bella." He whispered against my skin. "Voglio divorare, ti fanno chiamare il mio nome finche non si e rauca."
"What did you say?" I murmured, stroking his lips and revelling in how amazing whatever it was sounded in Italian.
"Get a dictionary." He teased and kissed me, taking the juice from my hand and placing it safely on the table, before he rolled on top of me, pinning me to the bed. "Or better yet, let me teach you. I want to hear you speak my language bella."
"Why?" I asked, nervously.
"So that I can tell you these things and you will understand. And so that when I want to say those things in front of Rachel I can without worrying that she will understand."
"Oh. So what did you say?"
He grinned a cheeky grin and his eyes flashed.
"Why don't I just show you?"
