I opened my eyes and found myself standing in a black void of nothing. When I moved my feet I found that I was standing on air. I was floating!
Where am I? I thought as I tried to see in front of me. Just then the Violet Crystal around my neck began to glow a deep purple color. Then up in front of me was five other colors glowing brightly. There was red, orange, yellow, green and blue.
The rest have awaken. Find them... A voice said in my mind.
"Who's there?" I demanded.
The rest have awaken. Find them... Find them before he does. The voice spoke again but much quieter this time.
"What do you mean?!" I said just as I woke up.
"Aimili wake up!" A familiar voice said, concerned. I opened my eyes to find Dalziel gripping my wrists. He let go once he saw I was awake. "Are you okay?
"Y-Yeah... I'm fine." I mumbled sitting up. I was laying on my bed in our little hideout that was hidden in a dense forest right outside the town.
"You sure?" He asked giving me that look of his. I couldn't meet his face as I got off of my bed and slipped on my boots. I headed toward the exit.
"I'm going to take a walk." I said stopping for a second.
"Mil... I don't think tha-" Dalziel began but I cut him off.
"I won't go into town. I just need some fresh air." I said, turning to him. "I promise to be careful this time." There was a moment of silence before Dalziel sighed, knowing that he wasn't going to be able to convince me otherwise.
"Alright, but if there's trouble please leave as soon as possible." I nodded and left into the dawn.
As I wandered around the forest I thought about my strange dream. Once I got back I was planning on telling Dalziel. If anyone could figure out what it meant it would be him.
Right then I heard a set of footsteps stop in front of me. I looked up and saw a young man who looked to be a few years older than me. Quickly, I pulled out the knife hidden in my boot and made sure my crystal was hidden in my tunic.
"It's okay." He said as he held up a red crystal hanging from his neck. "I'm not here to hurt you." I lowered my knife.
It was another Crystal Bearer.
