I found Midnight quite quickly. She was sitting on a fallen angel's lap in an embrace. It was a couple's embrace but more a family one. The angel looked very upset, almost distraught.

"Erm, are you Midnight?" I asked timidly, not wanting to interrupt but needing to. She stood up and took me in. She was quite small (although by Pixie standards she was a giant - even I was quite tall for a Pixie!) and so she seemed slightly pleased that she was taller than me. Before she stood I saw the angels face harden. I acted as if I knew nothing was amiss; showing him I respected his privacy.

"Yes, I am, may I help you?" Midnight asked sweetly with a smile.

"I'm Zuri, I'm new here," I spoke quickly, babbling again, "I got told to come to you."

"Oh, okay, follow me and I'll show you where to get your stuff," Midnight said with another smile.

"Thank you," I murmured. Always polite, that was us Pixies. I noticed the fallen angel staring at me. I shot him a confused look.

"Why are you here? Aren't Pixies self-educated?" the angel said with a frown. I shifted. Midnight looked between us baffled. Trust this hostile, fallen angel to know about Pixies.

"Pixie are one of the most secretive creatures in the world," the angel explained to Midnight, "They have a, ah, sad history which has made them like that. They very rarely leave their worlds and they're never taught outside those worlds." Okay, he knew way too much. He smiled wryly as if he'd heard my thoughts. Then it hit me that he might actually be able to hear my thoughts. I narrowed my eyes at him and his smile became a smirk.

"Jerk," I muttered then smiled sunnily. Pixies... I suppose the best word is meditate, a lot so I used that skill to block my mind from him. "I'm breaking the trend. I figure I can handle the outside world," I informed them. I turned to Midnight as the angel scowled, "Can you show me around now, please?" Midnight nodded and we walked off together. I relaxed as we got further away from the mind reader.

"So, what's the angel's name?" I asked Midnight, hoping to learn more about her from simple questions and her expressions.
