Ash Richards - Her

When I woke to the sound of someone entering my room I expected to see Natalie but instead I was met by the sight of Mollie. I swallowed as she gave me a sheepish smile and perched at the end of the bed.

"Hi" she said softly.

"What you doing here?" I asked panicking that Natalie would come in and get the wrong impression.

"Your mother told me" she explained. Well, thanks mum. She could have asked me first before telling my ex I was in hospital. "You look very roughed up"

Mollie's laugh was gentle but there was that look in her eyes that was very familiar. The worry. I could always tell when something was wrong. It made me feel guilty because I shouldn't now. I was with Natalie and should read her better. Although, me and Natalie had only been together for a short while.

"I bet you would to if you got beat up" I muttered closing my eyes against the harsh light.

"I heard it was for that girl"

"She's not just a girl to me" I whispered and opened my eyes to see Mollie in more pain but she forced a smile.

"Really?" she got out and looked away. "Anyway, I just came to make sure you were okay"

"I know-" I began just as my door opened again and Natalie walked in. She seeming to recognise Mollie instantly. Mollie got up politely.

"Hi, I'm Mollie and you must be-"

"Natalie" she cut in coming over to my side. "I ordered you the lunch you asked but they said you weren't allowed out of bed yet"

"But I stink" I teased. Natalie shook her head smiling.

"I don't mind" she said. Mollie coughed and Natalie looked over. The girls began to stare it out till I tapped Natalie's arm and she looked at me. She could tell I didn't want them to fight so she gave in with a sigh and sat on my bed next to me.

"I'll see you around, Ash" Mollie whispered then left quickly but not quick enough for me not to noticed the fact she was crying. It made me feel guilty but then again why should I? She left me first.... but I was the only one who'd moved on.
