How dare someone try to attack one of my subjects! And hadn't that boy been brought up knowing he should never harm someone of the other sex? Forget that, she was an angel.

As the boy stopped at the sound of my outraged cry of stop, two things happened.

Firstly, Indigo burst onto the scen, looking ... gorgeous, and secondly, the angel looked at me in shock then apologised for the fact I was here.

Indigo ran up to me, panting. Did he look good when he ran? And wasn't it flattering that he'd run for me? But I remembered he was my servant and that was the way he wanted to keep things. Stupid narrow-minded ... dreamy-looking person of amazing nature.

"Are you okay, Your Highness?" he asked.

"I'm fine," I said, swallowing a lump in my throat as I imagined the look in his eyes arising from more than a mere concernt that a member of the Royal Family was in danger. Gosh, his eyes were so distant: so closed to me. If only I could make them more open.

Behind him, a girl walked out of the forest. Had they been alone together? Sharp pain struck me and I had to turn away.

I summoned the angel to my tent and requested that no one intrude.

Attempting to forget what I had just seen, and not think of Indigo, I asked "Do you know what's going on?"

The End
