“Do you know what it feels like to feel the wind on your face?
Through the mountains passes and on the soft, gentle waves.
I find my joy in these places, alone, with just my thoughts.
I feel as if sometimes we get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that we forget to take time to enjoy the little things. That may be silly to think of, but how true is it? When was the last time you spent a night sitting on your porch listening to the crickets? When was the last time you climbed a hill and looked out on the forest, and breathed in that forest air? For me, it was recently, at least in the sense of climbing a hill. I find that to be peaceful. Ridiculously peaceful. I think, to be honest, I am more at peace when I’m with no one else than at any other time. Although there are a few people I love to be around and could see at any moment, not all I could. They know who they are. I love them all. And they are my mountains. My forests. My oceans. My friends who deal with the craziness that is me.
