We were almost at school when Zoey caught me and Taine up instead of walking with Candice. I looked at her and smiled, then put my arm around her. "Hey Babes, you okay?" I asked.
"I'm fine, Ben." She snapped, then shrugged my arm off her. I frowned, then decided that it was probably girl problems. I took my arm, back and shoved it in my pocket, chatting to Taine. I glanced back at Zoey and saw a tear roll down her cheek. I should have cared, I know, but strangly, I didn't. Oops. As we got to the school gates, Taine and I went in the direction of the field, to see the guys, whilst the girls trotted off towards the group of girls. I expected Zo to hold me back and explain, but she didn't. I was still looking at her when Taine ran off and I bumped into the new girl, Pheonix.
"Oh, hey! Sorry, didn't see you there." I smiled.
"Umm...Hi, Ben! It's my fault, sorry." She said.
"Ahh, it doesn't really matter. Hey, you're still new here, right? Well do you want me to show you around a bit at lunch?" I said. She nodded and smiled.
"Okay, say... The bike sheds at lunch?"
"Yep, that's fine. See you later!" She said, as the bell rang. I ran off to join Taine and Jack and we went into registration.
Lunch came way too slow, and I found myself way to... well, excited. I realised I was staring at Phoenix throughout Physics and Math. My mates noticed during English, but luckily I shook off the remarks. I got kept behind after English, so had to run to make sure I didn't keep Phoenix waiting. I saw her leant against the moulding wood of the bike sheds just as I told her. Her face lit up when she saw me.
"I thought you weren't gonna come."
"Nah, I'm not the type to ditch people." I grinned. She smiled back, as I leant against the wall, moving closer to her as I did so. I took another step forward, but, to my dismay, she looked uncomfortable and stepped back.
"Right, shall we go?" She said. I nodded and we walked away.
After a while of walking around, me pointing out the places, we came to an empty classroom, that happened to be our formroom. I pointed to it and ushered her in.
After talking for a while, we flirted for a while and then it happened. I kissed her. Lightly first, then more deeply. Phoenix squimed and pulled away, then gave an exasparated sigh and... slapped me. Trust me, I'm not proudof being slapped by a girl.
