Blake walked into the audition room, with no other emotion inside him apart from excitement. No nerves were going to affect his awesome guitar playing skills, because there were no nerves there in the first place.
He held his blue guitar and flicked his hair as he stood in the middle of the room. He looked directly in front of him, and saw a beautiful girl. She wasn't the typical type of beautiful, but a thrilling kind of beautiful. Her hair was an electric green colour, stunning him momentarily. She said his name, so he went all smooth and said something that he'd hope would make her blush, but it obviously didn't work. Stubborn one, eh? Just what Blake liked.
He readied himself with his guitar, smiling as he played, he knew he'd blow her away. He finished, flicked his hair, and looked up. She just stared at him. He sighed.
"I said you're in, please come sit here." He walked across the room. "You're in my band. Welcome or whatever," she muttered. He looked down to his phone and began to type a message to his mum - but no, he thought. She can wait. It wouldn't be the first time he was late home. Pulling a chair towards him, he sat and looked at.. Courtney, was it? He tried to recall from the leaflet. They talked for a bit, and then it struck him: Coral. The pretty girl's name was Coral.
They sat through the auditions, making minor conversation, waiting to find somebody worth the band. Blake fed up and sent a rather feeble text to his mum:
'Auditioned for a band. Got in. I'll be home late. Bye.'
He shoved his phone back in his pocket, looked at Coral, then leaned back in his chair and stretched.
Blake had decided it was going to be a long night.
