When I entered the restaurant, I noticed a few friends that I’d made in between classes and they called me over to join them. There were four of them; Madison, AJ, Christopher and Craig. Before long, I was able to join their conversation and forget about what had happened only a few minutes ago in my dorm room.
AJ told me he was holding a party and that he’d love for me to be there. I decided I’d go and after about an hour passed by, I headed back to my dorm room [relieved to see that Alice and Will weren’t inside] and got changed into one of my party dresses.
Heading towards the place where AJ mentioned the party was taking place, I opened the door and found another one of the typical jam-packed university parties. Oh well, what should I have expected?
For the first half hour, I danced on the floor with no one really, just moving around but my excitement was low and by the time I noticed I wasn’t in the mood; I decided to just go sit in the bar section of the room.
Sighing, I asked for just a martini to the bartender. Just when he gave it to me, I felt someone slip their arm around my shoulder, their cold skin making contact with my bare neck and I jumped in surprise. The martini spilled all over my dress and I groaned internally. That’s great.
“Oh damn! Sorry Alex!”
I noticed that it was only just Will and she grabbed a napkin from the counter and tried to clean me off but I stepped back and said, “No, don’t worry, I’ll go and change.”
"I'm so sorry! I didn't realise you were holding the drink, I just thought I'd surprise
Well she certainly had achieved that I thought to myself as I looked down at my ruined dress. “Don’t worry I have another dress.”
Before she could say anything, I headed for the exit. In only a few minutes I was back in my dorm room and opened my wardrobe after taking off my dress. Only wearing a bra and underwear, I quickly looked at the clothes I had, trying to choose one just when I heard the click of the door and Will walked in.
My body went on fire the moment her gaze fixed on me and my body. The blush flushed through my chest and upto my face and I started rushing through the hangers in the wardrobe to try and find something quickly to wear.
“Oh sorry Alex. I just came to see if you were okay.”
“It’s-it’s no problem. I thought you’d stay with Alice.”
Oh damn it! Still no good dress!
“No we’re having a bit of an argument.”
“About what?” I asked absentmindedly, struggling to find something good to wear.
I froze and turned my head to look at her and her eyes met mine. I blushed even harder.
“We’re arguing about you.”
