Anger flood through me when I heard the sharp raps on the door. They broke through the silence I treasured, the one filled with passion as I kissed Scarlett. But she squirmed underneath me as if trying to get away from my grip when she heard the knock.
"Someone's there," she whispered, looking into my eyes with hope filled in them. "I think you should check who it is."
"Fine," I snapped, releasing her and walking over quickly to the door. I wanted to get this over with already. But when I opened the door, my anger was replaced by shock. Cause right there in front of me stood Nina, smiling as if she would hate to be anywhere else in the world.
"Hello Lucas. Is Scarlett here?"
"Why are you here?" I hissed but she didn't even say anything, pushing past me and walking into the room. I slammed the door shut and followed her. "How'd you know where we are?"
"Scarlett told me before she left that you stayed here, so I asked the receptionist and she told me your room number. It's not a top secret place you know." She rolled her eyes at me, not even noticing the tight frown I had on my face.
"Nina, get out." I spat.
She shrugged, then took hold of Scarlett's hand. "Fine by me." I stood frozen to the spot as they both walked out my room, shutting the door behind them. I was going to have to do something about her friend, fast.
