Nothing. This is how she felt.
Numb. This is all she could feel.
Null. There was nothing to feel.
And when would anyone care? What was stopping her from pulling the trigger? What was stopping her from fixing all the wrong she'd endured? What was stopping her from ending her life to make it better? She had nothing. Her family wasn't loving or supporting. She was the nerd at school. She had nothing to work for, no money for college, no support for a future. It should've been easy. She told herself this. But a tiny voice, a voice someone spoke to her moments ago before she hung up the phone, whispered in her ear.
I do love you.
I do care about you.
I do support you and your dreams.
I do appreciate what you do for everyone.
I do understand the heartache.
I do want to listen.
I do need you.
I do hope you believe me.
When those words faded from her head, she made her choice. She took a deep breath and pulled the trigger.
