"Go away Sam."

I was setting out palets for my year 8's when Sam arrived, attempting to talk to me.

"Sasha, if you'll just listen to me..."

"I said go away." I muttered through clenched teeth, brandishing a paint brush for a weapon.

"Sasha, Cerice didn't..."

"... I don't want to hear it Sam! That... She has broken my heart. She's not the first, but she'll be the last. No more Sam. I can't take it anymore." That last part was a little weepy, but I refused him when he offered me a tissue.

"But she never slept with me."

"You would say that, but I saw the photos."

"Sasha, why would I come to you, begging you to give her a chance to explain herself if I wanted her?"

"Well you don't want her now you've had sex!" A year 8 entered the room and froze, seeing me glaring at Sam. "Tim, wait outside!" He backed out looking more than a little scared.

"We haven't had sex!"

"So what? She just gave you a blow job or something? I mean, I saw what you looked like! Anyway, I don't even want to know. Just leave me alone. I don't want to see your pathetic face again."

"You know what? She's probably better off without you!"

"Oh really? Because I thought I was better off without her cheating ass!"

"Neither her ass nor the rest of her body has cheated on you Sasha. She walked in on me, just after I'd had sex. She came to tell me to stay away." I paused for a second, then shook my head.

"No, you're only saying that so..." but I didn't have a good reason. Why would he tell me that?"

"Sasha. Just see her ok? I feel bad that it's my fault you two are over. Plus you know, this is me paying you back for the whole black mail thing."

"Yeah, thanks for that. But I'm pretty sure I don't want to see her." I wanted just that. To see her, hold her, feel her again.

"Why not?"

"Because, why else would those photos appear to me? Something must have happened."

"Someone is obviously trying to break you up. Can you think of anyone who would do that?" Amber. Probably. Still... I didn't know... "Look Sasha. Just come and see her. She's been acting like all the life has been sucked out of her. I mean, she goes to class and hangs out with people, but you can tell she's all dead behind her eyes." He actually sounded like he cared.

"I'll think about it."

The End
