"Cerice, Sam obviously likes you. But when he met me, he was drunk out of his face. His mind told him that he wanted to see why you like me so much. So he tried to find out. Nothing happened ok? In the end, I got away, and he didn't get to do anything, so it's fine."

"It's not fine. I'll murder him..."

"Hey. You told me last time he tried something on you that I couldn't do anything. I said next time he did I'd beat the crap out of him. So you have one more chance in you as well. Leave him. If he tries that again I'll call the police."

"I think we've given him too many chances."

"We have to let him have one more. Just one."

"Why are you sticking up for him?"

"I'm not."

"Yes you are." People were staring at us.

"Is everything ok?" One of the ladies asked. I nodded and gestured for Cerice to follow me outside. She came, reluctantly but she came.

"Cerice, honey." I took her hand in mine and stroked her hair with the other. "I hate that boy. I hate him like I've never hated anyone in my life. But I don't want you to think that I can hate someone so readily, or be so jealous of the way he looks at you."

"Sasha, I'm not going to judge you for hating him. He deserves jail. Look at the mark on your cheek! It's sexual harassment!"

"Alright." I sighed. "Alright you win. We'll do it your way." I felt so tired all of a sudden, slightly old. Maybe it was because Cerice was younger, but suddenly I felt like I couldn't keep up. I was really tired and stressed.

"Thank you. Are you ok?" She still looked angry.

"No. I just feel so tired Cerice." She peered at me.

"You look fine. Maybe a little tired round the eyes."

"I need a good nights sleep that's all."

"Alright. Well I'll just go back to the dorm them."

"You can still come to mine if you  want." I smiled, kissing her. She shook her head.

"No don't worry, I'll just go back. Give you the rest you need."

"I feel like I'm old."

She laughed.

"You're not old."

"I know. I love you."

"I love you too."

"Do you think we'd better go back?"

"Yeah, we don't want them all thinking we've disappeared off somewhere." She smiled and went back in. I waited a second, then returned to my class, feeling like Cerice and I weren't as resolved as we should be.
