Archer: Affair.

"My car." I said with a smirk.

Hannah was covered in blood when we found her. The knife was deep in her stomach, and at first I was sure she was dead.

The police and ambulance arrived shortly. Jacob was talking to the police, but I was too focused on getting out of there.

"Jake, let's get out of here!"

Jacob glanced over at me but then ignored me.

I rolled my eyes and started for the car. I flipped out my keys and opened it up. I stepped inside and started the car. Out of nowhere, Jacob showed up. He opened up the passenger door and got in. "You didn't think you were going to leave without me, did you?"

I ignored him, a little revenge for earlier.

Jacob guided me to Danielle's house. And surprisingly, Danielle only lived about two blocks away from Hannah. A coincidence? Maybe.

Jacob stepped out of the car first and walked to the front door. I opened up my glove compartment and pulled out a pistol. I followed Jacob to the front door. Jacob looked over his shoulder, and when he saw the gun, he turned pale. "I thought I told you-"

"If there's a murderer in there, I'm going to protect myself. If you want to be killed, be my guest." I said sharply.

Jacob nodded and knocked on the door. Nothing.

I frowned, "Think we're too late?"

Jacob rubbed his chin, "I'm not sure."

I pushed Jacob out of the way and shot the handle off of the door. I kicked the door open and ran in yelling, "FREEZE!"

Jacob came in cautiously behind me. He peeked into the kitchen, "Clear!"

I ran over to the living room and checked behind the couches, "Clear!"

I heard Jacob enter a room behind me, "Bathroom's clear! ...kind of..."

I would have chuckled at the joke, but I was too focused. I peered into the bedroom and then looked under the bed. "Clear." I said breathlessly. I lowered my gun and walked out into the living room.

"Danielle isn't home... maybe she's at work?" I wondered aloud.

"No no." Jacob hummed to himself. She looked over at the pictures on the wall. "She didn't have a job. She was with a boy."

"What makes you think that?" I asked.

"Look." he said, pointing at the wall. I looked over and saw tons of pictures of a young woman with many different men.

"Affair." I whispered in a I-told-you-so tone.

Jacob rolled his eyes. "We have to find her. Come on."

The End
