Salem's performance was amazing; I was very impressed. I smiled at him when he came back and he grinned at me. Shane shifted beside me and I rolled my eyes. Definately jealous. The class carried on and when it came to my turn I got up confidently. I knew exactly what I was going to play. I sat on the chair and began to play Say by John Mayer. After my time was up I sat down and Salem whispered

"You're really good."

"Thanks, so are you."

Shane got up and took a stand at the front. She had an electric guitar with her. Looking straight at Salem, in what I could tell was a challenge she began to play...

...the solo from Stairway to Heaven by Led Zepplin. She was amazing. Everyone sat with their jaws on the floor. When she finished everyone began clapping enthusiastically and she came back to her seat with many claps on the back. I hugged her when she got back and whispered in her ear,

"That was amazing!"

"Thank you."

We sat down and waited till the end of the class, then as soon as it was finished we went to the cafeteria for lunch. Salem followed us, and with every step Shane was getting more and more annoyed with him. I could tell that 'public moment' she'd talked about would probably happen over lunch.

The End
