The shopping is in the cupboards before you can say "sleep" and I flop onto the sofa, tempted to fall asleep right there. What? We all know I don't do well on little sleep, and my sofa just happens to be very, very comfy.
"Want anything to eat, lazy?" Hadley asks.
"No, thanks," I mumble, closing my eyes.
"Don't complain later."
"I'll only complain if you don't eat something," I smile, getting comfy.
"If only Caleb was here." He snorts with laughter and I chuckle, half opening my eyes. "He would've thought up about 500 ways to make that sound disgusting."
"I can think of a couple," I smile again.
"Yeah. I can think of a few for ‘don't make me come in there and make you eat something' too."
"Eww," he laughs and I rest my head on the back of the sofa.
"But seriously, get something to eat. Like I said, I don't want you passing out because I'm not feeding you or something."
"Way to make me sound like a pet."
I hold up my hands and laugh. "You're the one who was calling me pooch."
"Watch it, you. I'll collar you if I have to" I catch him grinning and giggle.
"I didn't know that was what turned you on. I'll keep it in mind," I say with a wink. He shakes his head.
"Do you want me to eat something or not?"
"Sorry," I grin. Smiling, he turns and fixes himself some nachos, while I, lazily, begin to fall asleep again. Remind me to take some sleeping pills or something next time my head starts shouting at me.
I feel Hadley's lips press to my forehead and my lips pull up in a smile.
"Bedroom. You'll fuck your back up if you stay there."
"If that was true, I'd have a fucked up back," I mutter quietly.
"Go." I open my eyes and switch on the TV, pretending like I'm awake.
"I'm awake. I don't need to move anywhere." He gives me this disbelieving look, which I ignore, snuggling into him instead. He eats his nachos and I smile, putting my arms around him, making it fairly clear that I refuse to move anywhere any time soon. He looks down at me out of the corner of his eye.
"Can I help you?"
"By staying still. That'd be great, thanks."
"So you can fall asleep?"
"I'm not falling asleep, I'm just using you as my pillow," I protest, lying through my teeth in the process. We all know I'm going to fall asleep here like this. He chuckles. "Bed, now." I let out a whine. "Dude, go."
"But the bed monsters might run off with me."
"I'm willing to risk it," he smirks and I pull a hurt face.
"Deal with it," he says, eating another nacho. I scowl and stand up, and start pulling the cushions off the sofa.
"Get up." He doesn't move. "I will push you on the floor," I threaten. Instead of moving, he just eats some more. So I push him on the floor and move the cushions from his side of the sofa too.
"What was that for exactly?" I'm too busy trying to remember how to make the sofa bed work to answer. After a moment, I remember and flip it out, faceplanting it.
"That's cheating," he giggles, sitting down on it. I roll onto my side and use my arm as a pillow.
"What?" I ask as he looks at me.
