I drove Thea home, letting her kiss me before she got out. It was the least I could do for helping drag her in to everything. I'd left Helena having a shower with a smile on her face. I grinned as I thought of her.
I pulled up at the house and went inside. The babysitter was still here.
"Can I go now? I'm tired!"
"Of course, why didn't you go already?"
"Your girlfriend went out again."
"Oh, well here, this is for your troubles." I handed her some money and she nodded, then left. "Oh baby, where's your mommy?" I went over to the cot and picked her up. Rocking her I went to the kitchen and warmed some milk. I sat on the sofa and fed Liliana, burping her and then checking the clock. It was getting towards lunch.
"Come on you, we're going for a walk to get mama Rosa some food." I put on her coat and placed her in the pram. We went out for a walk.
Absent mindedly I wandered the streets, and finally walked in to a little cafe and coffee shop. Sitting down I put Liliana next to me and reached for the menu. It was only then I realised I knew the cafe I was in. And who owned it.
"Well look who it is. Long time no see." I looked up to see Sherena looking at me, her arms crossed. The last time I'd seen her she'd been yelling at Annie after our one night stand.
"Oh. Hey Sherena."
"Alright I'm sorry about the last time we met, but Annie and I are really meant to be together." She began tapping her foot. "Do you want to take this somewhere else?" She walked off to the back door and out in to the back alley. "I'm sorry if I hurt you."
"Yeah? Well I'm over you."
"Good." She grabbed me and kissed me. I pushed her away.
"What happened to you're over it?"
"Maybe I'm not." She kissed me again.
"You know, I think this might be stretching the open relationship Annie's letting us have."
"Well then, my place, tonight?"
"I'm not sure Sherena. I'm really not sure that I should."
"Come on." She nibbled at my ear.
"I have Liliana to take care of."
"Well, you still have my number don't you?"
"Then call me." She kissed me again and went inside.
I ordered a takeaway sandwhich and left with Liliana. When I got home, Annie was still not back.
