Jonathan was bragging about how he'd won, about how he was right, but my mind was a fuzzy mess. I couldn't think, I couldn't see anything. And then, I felt everything go dark.
I woke up on the floor. There was a paramedic leaning over me.
"Are you alright?"
"You fainted. And the other girl is on her way to hospital."
"The young man's girlfriend. She was bleeding. Baby problems." I sat up and instantly regretted it.
"Ugh. He's not her boyfriend! Get me to her now!"
"You should really rest."
"Get me to her!" I stood up.
I stared at Annie's form sleeping. The baby was still inside of her, but there was a high risk of something happening again. And then Jonathan came in.
"I'd like some time alone with my girlfriend" he smirked.
"Jonathan, she is not your girlfriend."
"Oh yes she is. She had more fun sleeping with me than she did you. Wasn't it her that wanted you to stop having sex with her? Have a proper relationship? And all the while she was fucking me until she couldn't breathe any more. That's where she was all day yesterday. Not with you. With me."
I felt a tear run down my cheek.
"What... happened?" Annie had woken up. "Rosa, Jonathan..." Jonathan went over to her.
"It's alright darling. I'm here. Our baby is safe." He kissed her and held her hand. I felt sick. Annie looked at me and suddenly I stood up.
"I never want to see you again. Either of you. Annie, I won't be at the house for a few days. You have two days to get your...boyfriend", I spat out the word, " to pick up your stuff. "
"Don't call me that. I don't even know you anymore." I walked out, getting to the hospital enterance before I couldn't move anymore. I slid down the wall, crying. That is where I called for Aimee to pick me up, and that is where she found me. Supporting me out of the building, I realised that Missy was in the car with her.
"Do you mind if I stay with you...I just have no where to go."
"Of course. Of course you can stay with me."
"Thank you." I leant against Missy's shoulder, and let my eyes close. I was exhausted, and so upset. I had never been this upset.
It feels like my heart has been ripped out, and Jonathan is dancing up and down on it, with Annie as his prize.
