Cayden: What To Cook?Mature

It felt strange waking up to an empty bed. Don’t get the wrong idea, things with me and Maxxie were fine, it’s just he had to go home since he had a job to go to and shit like that. If it had been up to me we would’ve just mooched around eating pancakes and getting laid. In that specific order just going around in a loop. With maybe a break in between at some point for some wining and dining. Maybe.

Minus getting laid that was pretty much how I spent the day. Brent was still off sick so baldy what’s-his-face was still at the book store. Meaning there wasn’t a chance in hell I was going back. I rolled out of bed around noon, cooked up some pancakes, watched Spongebob while I ate them and sent Maxxie a text. I won’t say exactly what it said but the main gist was that I missed him. I can be cutesy when I want to be. It was when I was sat in Starbucks trying to look like a typical Starbucks customer while sipping at a cappuccino that I got a reply. I couldn’t help but smile like a dork at it. He was easily topping me on the adorable scale. Hell, the guy even texted in proper English. It was the last part that made me smile the most.

“Come see me at work, I’m on my break in an hour”.

I threw the rest of my coffee back, wincing a little as it burnt the back of my mouth, and started on my walk to the café where Maxxie worked. Sure I could’ve taken a bus but I didn’t have that much cash on me. And the weather was beautiful.

“Hello Beautiful” I said, sneaking up behind Maxxie and wrapping my arms around his waist.

“Well hello to you too” he said, turning around and planting a small, sweet kiss on my lips, “I missed you”.

“I should hope so too” I smirked. "It feels like it's been ages since I saw you last. I... You... Uh... Do you wanna come to my place later on? Or I can come to yours, I don't mind which" I said, suddenly feeling nervous.

Maxxie grinned and I could see he was trying not to giggle. "I'll come to yours. My place is a mess."

"I'll never understand how you manage to be so cute but so sexy at the same time" I said with a smile.

"It's a mystery to us all. Myself included."

"What time are you coming over? I’ll cook something nice up, we can watch a movie. Y'know, make a proper night out of it"

"Ooh, someone's trying harder than usual. What's the occasion?"

"No occasion, I just thought it'd be nice. Oh, you know what else would nice right about now?"

"Knowing you? Sex." he laughed and I couldn’t help but smile.

"Got it in one, dollface" I said with a wink.

He grinned. "I finish work in an hour. No sex until after you've cooked me something nice for dinner," he said, winking. And God it looked hot.

"Mmm, I knew working in a restaurant in high school was a smart thing. You're not allergic to anything, are you?"

"Things that are out of date?" he laughed that beautiful laugh of his.

"Depending on what it was and whether it came out of a can, being past its expiration date probably wouldn't be that harmful and wow that was nerdy". Cue nervous laugh.

He leant forward and kissed me softly "Just as well I find hot, nerdy guys even sexier than just hot guys, hmm?" And then his hand started to wander.

"Looks like you're just as eager to get in my pants," I grinned, "I better head off and get working on that dinner. Good food doesn't just happen"

He let go of me reluctantly "I'll see you later then. I am expecting amazingness."

"Oh you'll get amazingness. My food's better than my sex" I said, quite arrogantly, before kissing him.

"As long as you don't get me fat," he poked his tongue out and just managed to look adorable.

"Wouldn't dream of it, doll" I kissed him again, no closer to actually leaving.

He started kissing down my neck, just a fleeting touch of his lips on my skin before he moved on "Good." He hugged me, pulling me close "What're you still doing here? you're supposed to be making amazingness," he grinned but kissed me regardless.

"Your sexy self won't let me leave" I laughed.

He laughed as well. "Oops"

"Right you, I'm gonna kiss you one more time and then I'm going to cook up your amazingness" I said, kissing him for what was supposed to be the last time and glaring slightly at the passerby who threw us a disapproving look.

Once again, he reluctantly let go of me. "Bye, sexy" he smiled.

"I’ll see you later, dollface" I said and walked away slowly. I couldn’t help but laugh as a dreamy look drifted into Maxxie’s eyes as he got back on with what he was supposed to be doing.

Right, what to cook?

The End
