I needed a drink, a really good drink. A drink that could smash me back into reality. Since I left Drew's, I've been staring at men, like some freaking pervert! MEN! All I needed was a night at the bar, a bartender, and the heaviest drink he had.
I carried my toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste, and a comb with me. I set my phone alarm for 5:00 in the morn, since I was going to be spending the night smashed in the bar. I had practice, so I knew what to do.
I wore slightly dressy clothes, since not only was it a bar, but since I'd be going straight to work from there.
When I went in, I didn't bother with the music, the drums, or dancing, just went straight up to the bartender.
"I need something." I asked the bartender.
"What can I get you?" He asked .
"I need a drink that will screw me up in five seconds. The strongest freaking thing you got."
"Ah!" He looked up, "A BMW then?" He smirked.
"A what?" I asked
"A BMW, it tastes like crap, but will get you off in two sips."
"I'll go with that."
"What’s the occasion?"
"I think I'm gay."
"Oh. Right." he gave a slight chuckle. “I think you'll need a double shot."
I turned to stare at the dance floor. A few couples were getting close, a few were going off to a motel, there were a couple of lezbos in the mix...then, I almost screamed. Kinsley....she was right there dancing with...a girl. And boy, she wasn’t shy either. I couldn't help it. I burst into peals of cynical laughter. It seemed I had to embrace my inner woman and she had embraced her inner man! How wonderful!
"You're drink.” He said passing the clear liquid over to me. “This one’s on the house."He looked at me sympathetically. I shot it down in one gulp.
"Another." I asked, as I eyed Kinsley. Wow. She wasn’t shy at all with that chick! I think one of those girls saw me looking. Shit, must have seemed like a depraved sick asshole. I gulped down the second shot.
“TO HELL WITH BEING STRAIGHT!!” I yelled as I banged the shot glass to the table. I think some people heard me, I defiantly heard some laughs. I was a voice actor, so my voice was loud. "Give me three more." I ordered the bartender, holding my head in my hands.
