Cayden: Stupid Rich KidsMature

Jake turned and stopped walking. He shook his head and started walking again when he saw Taylor. I’d called him and we’d agreed to meet up in town once I got to Paris. That was before Taylor decided he was coming.

"Jake, wait up!" I shouted but he just kept walking.

I sort of ran after him and Taylor kept walking. I guess I understood why they didn’t get along, now. They were jealous of each other.

"Why the hell is he here?" Jake hissed.

I shrugged. "He wanted to come. I could hardly stop him"

"What do you mean?" he asked, still walking quickly.

"He paid for his own ticket"

"Great" he said, walking even faster.

I kept up with him easily, though. "Look, I tried to persuade him to stay"

"Him being here wont sort anything, Cayden"

"I'm sorry, okay! I tried my best to convince him not to come but evidently my best isn't good enough" I said, a little bit annoyed and he sighed.

"I know you’re here to sort things and I'm only trying to tell you, Cayden. Him being around almost hanging off you half the time won’t help"

"Who said he's gonna be hanging off me?"

"Maybe not all the time but it will happen"

"I don't think he particularly likes me at the moment" I muttered.

"Why might that be?"

"Because I went after you"

He looked at me. "I'm still only a friend to you in your eyes"

I nodded.

"Besides, shouldn't he be more happy since you've fucked him now" he pushed a hand through his hair.

I shrugged. I’m not even gonna ask how he knew that.

"Hmm, you don't seem effected by his sudden clinginess

"Should I be?"

"Most people would. It’s the first sign that they won’t go away without a fight"

I shrugged again and he shook his head.

"Look, I have to go now. I can't deal with talking about all this and nothing will be sorted anyway" he said, walking off.

I grabbed his hand and he looked round.

"I came here to keep you company, man"

"Things around you are too crowded. Once the baggage is gone maybe we can hang out" he pulled his hand away slowly and walked off again.

I caught up to him and hugged his waist, making him stop walking.

"Cayden, what the hell are you doing?"

"What does it look like?"

He sighed. "People are staring. Please stop"

I kept hugging him and he moaned.

"Cayden... stop it"

He sighed again. "What do I have to do to make you let go of me?"

"Stop being so grumpy"

"How am I being grumpy?

"You've got your grumpy face on"

"How is my face grumpy?" he asked, his face expressionless.

"It just is"

"Mmm?" I said, hugging him a tiny bit more.

"We're in the middle of the road"

"So we are"

"I don't wanna get run over"

He picked me up and carried me to the other side of the road. I kept on hugging him.

"You do realise; one, I'm not gonna put you down now and, two, we left Taylor behind about three blocks ago"

"He'll catch up"

"Yeah, but where I'm staying is just round the corner"

"We'll just have to wait for him, then"

"I don't want to so will you take my advice and leave me alone. Or end up coming with me"

"How does that work?" he asked, starting to walk, still carrying me.

"Wait and see"

He raised an eyebrow and pulled out a key once we reached the front door of the place he was staying.

"There’s three flights of steep stairs" he moaned and I laughed.

"I'll get down if you want"

"Yes please" he said, putting me down.

He started up the stairs, taking them two at a time, and I followed. He went straight into an apartment and headed straight for the kitchen. I dumped my stuff in the living room since I only had a backpack filled with clothes.

"So will I find out watch you meant by both" he asked, pouring a shot of vodka.

"Want one?" he asked, just as I said "Yep"

"To which question?"

"Finding out what I meant by both"

He raised an eyebrow. "So?"

I chuckled and started walking out of the apartment.

"Dude! You ain’t getting back in if you leave"

"Then I guess you'll never find out what I meant"

"This ain’t fair"

I chuckled.

"Fine, you can come back but Taylor can't"

"I'm sure he can afford a hotel room"

"Is he rich or something?"

"Apparently so"

"Stupid rich kids. Now I dislike him more"

"Maybe I'll tell you later"

"Okay. I'll be back in a sec" I said with a smile.

"See you in a bit, Cay" he said and closed the door behind me.

Alright, now to find Taylor.

The End
