Hadley: Shouldn't Be HereMature

The first place I headed once I left the apartment was Caleb’s house. I had a feeling he’d be there and Alex would no doubt be with him. See, why couldn’t I have a mom like Caleb’s? She was totally fine with Caleb and Alex being together. I barged straight through the door and saw the two of them sat together on the couch.

"Get dolled up, Caleb, you're coming out with me"

"Where're you going?" Alex asked.

"To a bar"

"...Why? Where's Max?"

"Asleep on the couch. I left him a note"

Caleb was more than a little reluctant to move and Alex nudged him a little.

"Go on, Ginger Spice. You heard the man" he said and turned to me, "don't get caught underage drinking"

"Never have, never will"

"Hadley, can't you go on your own?" Caleb asked and I gave him an unimpressed look.

Alex smiled slightly. "Why d'you want him to go on his own?"

"Cause I'm happy here with you" Caleb huggled him and he huggled back.

"I'd offer to come, but I think Hadley needs a night out with a mate, not a mate and his mate's boyfriend" he smiled.

Caleb kisses him. "Have fun with Mom, then. And don't tell her where I've gone or she'll kill me"

"I wouldn't tell her. I like you alive, personally"

He giggled and I caught Alex smiling as the two of us left.

Once we were in the bar, Caleb reverted to his former whorish self but this time he was just doing it to get a few free drinks. The useless idiot hadn’t thought to bring any money with him. Within an hour he’d earned himself an alarming amount of free drinks and had at least half the bar staring at him. Seriously? I mean seriously? No offence to the guy but he’s not even cute. Okay, so that’s just me being jealous but can you blame me for it? I’m a good looking guy, right? So how come not one single person in this bar’s asked to buy me a drink?

“Dude, tell me what you want and I’ll get it for you” Caleb said, winking at a nerdy looking blonde guy.

“I don’t need you to get me a drink, Caleb. I’m perfectly capable of getting one myself” Yeah right.

“Your loss, dude” Caleb said, smiling as the nerdy blonde started walking over to him.

I rolled my eyes and turned my attention to the bar. Where I happened to see none other than my dear fiancé. I saw him take what I hope was one of his pain pills and turn his attention to... Okay, who the fuck is that? And... And why does he kind of resemble Cayden? I watched the two of them for a while, frozen to the spot and unable to do anything about it when Maxxie ended up in this guy’s lap, sharing saliva. Once Maxxie grabbed his hand and led him outside I actually remembered how to move and sort of stumbled to the bar, ordering about three or four shots of everything. I downed them in record speed, noticing someone sit next to me and push a drink in my direction. I glanced up in time to see him smile a little seductively. He looked like he was in his mid-thirties and I guess he had a decent face but I really didn’t care. If Maxxie’s fucking off with some stranger then so am I.

This guy, I think he said his name was Mark, shoved me down onto his bed, crawling over me almost instantly and meeting my lips with his own. He pulled off my t-shirt and scrabbled with his own for a few seconds before going right back to kissing me fiercely. He’d stripped me completely within seconds and was just pulling his jeans off when I sat up.

“I shouldn’t be here” I said, tears tugging at the corners of my eyes.

“Shouldn’t you?”

I shook my head and honestly have no memory of what happened after.

The End
