I was stuck on memory lane, even when I woke up the next morning, it was with a glazed look in my eye. Ranette noticed my absent minded attitude, and she smiled at me as I wandered around the kitchen.
"I might go and work at the strip club tonight." She put my pancakes on the table.
"Huh? Right, ok."
"Huh?" I looked up at her.
"I just said I might go work at the strip club tonight, and you didn't even notice. What's up?"
"Strip club, really?"
"Oh shut up and eat your pancakes."
"Fine." I munched on my pancakes, and then sighed and put my fork down. "I'm sorry. I'm just stuck on my memories of college."
"Oh really? What memories?"
"Just...parties, dates, people, things like that."
"Yeah, it'll pass. I thought we weren't supposed to get the good old days treatment until we were older?"
"Life is strange like that."
"I think you're right. Well, we'd better get to work, or else we may as well keep looking back in to the past, because there sure as hell won't be any future." I stole a kiss and then went to get ready, my mind still back in the 'good old days'.
