"What about what happened when we kissed?" I ask, frowning a teeny bit. It was a kiss, nothing more. Was that wrong?
"Well, why did it happen? I mean, are you...attracted to me?" she bites her lip a little.
"Why wouldn't I be?" I smile and then blush, realising what I just said, "We don't have to do anything more, though... if you don't want."
"But, I figured you didn't see me like that...I mean, all those years in college...?" Oh, babe, that was in college. And college was a fair while ago now.
"Well, yeah, but I didn't like any girls in college. I didn't like any girls til two months ago. I wanna experiment and explore, but it doesn't have to be with you if it makes you uncomfortable." She thinks for a moment and even though there's noise all around us, the silence between us feels like no one else is there.
"How much of a friend would I be if I let you go off with someone you don't even know?" she reaches up and brushes some of my hair back out of my face. Well, I would hardly blame you. I just smile, not really knowing what to say. "So I guess it's up to you. Where do you wanna start?"
"I dunno," I giggle, "but I'm under the impression beds are usually a good place to be."
"Not necessarily. I mean, do you want dating lesbian style, or do you just want sex?" she wraps her arms around my waist and pulls me in closer. There's a look on her face that says she's deadly serious. I stutter. I'm used to being the sexual predator here.
"I-I don't know," I feel my cheeks heating up.
"Well if you don't mind, I'm going to break you in slowly, and start with the dating. It'll be easier for me, you know, after Annie." She plants a light kiss on my lips. "So, I guess I'd better buy you a drink since this is the first date. Or second, if you count yesterday." I smile and kiss back, walking with her over to the bar. When we get our drinks, I lift mine, smiling again.
"Here's to new discoveries."
