I was still brimming with joy from today. Currently however, it was really awkward. Tensions were high as we were sat at the end of the bus, even though we all had beers. Surprisingly, even I had one. Damien was sitting furthest away from Luca and Phil was looking at us awkwardly. Rayn was the first to speak and break the silence, "I can't believe you had sex, outside, in front of everyone, including Alice. Couldn’t you have gone somewhere else?"
"What? She didn't see anything." But of course, I can’t tell you why.
He drained his beer, slamming the bottle on the table, "only because I was keeping her busy!"
"Right, of course," I shook my head, "I didn't see you walking away." There was an uncomfortable silence and I just used it to confirm my point, "exactly."
"You're just jealous," Luca laughed, glancing up at Damien. "He's most jealous," he added in a whisper next to my ear.
"How'd you know?" I whispered back, my arms resting on his shoulders as I spoke.
"I've known the guy two months. Think I haven't noticed the way he stares at me?" he murmured.
"I sorta feel sorry for him," it’s true. He will never get Luca. Not just because of me, but because Luca... heh, never was a big fan of the G-A-Y’s.
"I don't." He protested, rather stubbornly.
"Oh right, you're homophobic aren't you." It wasn’t a question; I knew full well he was.
"Urgh," he looked away from Damien with a disgusted look on his face and I sighed, I didn’t care what they saw, I just wanted to lighten the mood.
"Okay, people, you think we'll have time to stop off at the beach before your next gig?"
"Couple of hours," Phil shrugged.
"Sure." Rayn grinned
He leant in and kissed me. "Yeah," he smiled.
"What was that for?"
"Do I need a reason to kiss you?"
"Dunno, I've never seen you so spontaneous."
"S'pose it wasn't just my singing I got better at while I was away."
"Mmm..." Damn it, mind wanders again, well after today, how could it not? "Definitely not," I smiled but then shook my head. Stop it. "So, we all brought our swimming gear?" They all nodded, but I couldn’t help but see that Damien was in his little dream world. I took a quick glance to Luca before moving to slide next to Damien. “Are you, okay?”
"Why wouldn't I be?" he smiled.
"Well, after earlier today... you seem a little off."
"It's not like I’m used to it. I'm fine."
"Okay... if you're sure." I mumbled, hugging him quickly before kissing his cheek and sitting back next to Luca.
"I'm gonna go find my trunks," Damien muttered, walking over to the stairs.
"You were right..." I murmured to Luca.
"Right about what?"
"Heh, he is the most Jealous... about you."
"Oh... yeah. He'll live."
"I still feel sorry for him."
"Why?" he asked incredulously.
"Because he's chasing a broken dream... he'll never have you."
"If he was chasing it, he'd be trying harder than taking advantage of a truth or dare game."
"I think he's still in denial, but I don't wanna read his mind." He shrugged and gulped down the rest of his beer. As soon as he lowered his bottle from his lips I kissed him. He smiled, kissing me back.
"Back to beach then hmm?" I smiled; I hope the moment would be just as special.
"Yeah," he grinned, the memory of the first time at the beach flickering in his mind. I smiled, but couldn't help singing ‘sex on the beach,' under my breath with a giggle. He laughed, kissing me again. I hope it would be okay...
