It’s getting a little dark outside now and Rayn’s sat with an arm round Alice watching TV, Damien disappeared upstairs and Phil’s writing something at one of the tables. I turned to Luca, he looked a little shaky. “Hey, what’s up?” I whispered softly.
"Nothing," he muttered, watching Alice.
"Are you sure?" Because, I wasn't, not that he was telling the whole truth anyway.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he glanced up at me, pulling his legs up to his chest and resting his chin on his knees.
I tilted my head to the side slightly and shook it. But just as I was about to ask him again the driver announced he'd be pulling over to a motel so he can sleep. "Oh, it’s really late..."
"Is it?" He looked out of the window and I had the temptation for calling him a caveman, didn’t he know how to read the time without having to look at the shadows cast by the moon.
"Umm, yeah,” caveman, “I'm surprised Alice isn't asleep yet..." I glanced over to her and surely enough she'd fallen asleep on Rayn. "She is..." He smiled slightly and I sighed, getting up. "Sorry Rayn." I murmured, snaking my arms around her so I could pick her up.
"It's alright, I don't mind," he smiled at the sleeping Alice in my arms.
I carried her upstairs, tucking her into one of the small beds there. I kissed her forehead and told her to sleep well before disappearing back downstairs. "So Luca, what you gonna do?"
He seemed a little distracted so it took him a while to reply before, surprisingly enough, he came out with, “hmm?”
“What’re you gonna do?” I repeated.
"I dunno..." his eyes were on Rayn as he walked back over, grabbing something from his bag. He pulled out a little bag of white powder and sat down at the table. Phil and Damien drifted over a moment later and Luca closed his eyes, swallowing hard.
"Go on." I sighed. I couldn't possibly think that he'd change this habit so quickly. At least they had the decency to wait. He hesitated a moment, looking from me to the table before getting up and joining them.
I got up, walked over to the bus doors and closed them, before re-taking my seat. I said, I wouldn't leave him, I won't. He was the first to get his line, I guess it was because he was the lead of the band... that or he craved it the most.
Luca leant forward across the table as the drugs began to take effect on them, talking quickly about random things for a while with them before remembering I was there. He turned, saw me and got up, bouncing over to me. Plonking himself down next to me, he grinned and hugged me. I hugged him back cautiously... this was freaking scary. "What's up, babe?" he asked, still grinning.
Babe... huh, what are you, who are you and what’ve you done with Luca. I mean, he seemed so high I just knew the come down would be bad. "Nothing," I smiled, shaking my head.
He twisted, lying back along the sofa so that I was on top of him. Reaching up to kiss me, he let his hand stray right between my legs. The kissing I didn’t mind but... I had some morals; I didn’t want him to sleep with me when he was drugged up.
My eyes opened wide and I just looked at him, "Luca what're you..." He didn't answer, instead unbuttoning my trousers and pushing his hand inside, kissing me again.
I pulled away from him, looking to the other guys, but they were too off their heads to help anyway... "Luca, stop it." I demanded. He tugged at my trousers, not listening. I pushed his hands away, a bright blush on my cheeks as my powers faltered, the others could see me. Well, I remember the time I got raped, Rayn saw me then. The others hadn’t though.
"What're you doing?" he growled, grabbing at my shirt.
"Not this,” I replied as calmly as I could. "I’m not sleeping with you."
He snarled again, "why not?"
"You're off your head!"
"No I'm not," he protested angrily.
"You are." I stated coolly.
"I'm not!" he yelled, slapping me across the face. Blinking, he paused and a confused look crossed his face. "Shit... sorry."
I closed my eyes for a moment before opening them and blinking twice, allowing the pain to set in. "No, it's fine." It wouldn’t be half as bad if he didn’t put so much power behind it. He wriggled out from underneath me and pushed himself into the corner where the sofas met in an L shape, putting his head on his knees. I pulled my trousers up, buttoning them as I wrapped my arms around him. "Its fine, you know."
"No," he moaned, "it's not... I don't want to treat you like I treated Kat and the others."
The others were news to me but I shrugged them off. "You won't because I'll find some way of keeping you occupied and off drugs and somehow I'll get you off them." I got nothing but the silent treatment and I squeezed him a little tighter. “I guess I know I mean more to you, at least, I hope I do.”
