"They don't come off..." I whisper in amazement.
"Well, they don't look to bad though. Pretty awesome" Vee says. She sees something good in everything. I, on the other hand, never fail to see the bad things. Even if I rarely point them out.
"Yeah" I finger my wrist "I'm gonna have to get used to this" my bracelet is yellow. My favourite colour.
"Hmm..." Ria inspects her blue one. There's silence as we all do the same.
"I feel like a cat" I suddenly say. Everyone laughs.
"Why do you feel like a cat?"
"I fell into a well"
"How does that make you anything like a cat?" Ria grins.
"Haven't you heard the rhyme? Ding dong bell, pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Flynn. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. And I can't remember the rest"
"Oh, I see"
"We're not going to get out though" I point out, running my hand along the smooth round wall as proof.
"Maybe this is a way out" Vee points to an arch that I hadn't noticed before. There's a tunnel that leads to somewhere I can't see.
"Well, there's only one way to find out" Ria says, and she leads the way through.
