"You can't?" Lilia cocked her head to one side quizzically.
"I-I've never done anything like this before..." I said trailing off for lack of a better excuse. Terror flooded my mind at the though of facing that vile beast yet again.
"It's ok, they'll show you how." Lillia assured me.
I screwed my eyebrows up curiously. Something was different about her. "What?" she asked hesitantly. Suddenly I realized what was bugging me about her.
"You are speaking normally! You...weren't...last night." I replied hesitantly.
"Oh that, I only speak like that when the other's are around...they tease me if I don't speak like them."
"Where are they?" I asked.
"They've gone out to prepare for the hunt." she told me, staring at me with those stunning brown eyes of hers.
The morning light glittered off her face, highlighting the dark, black marks across her face. It hurt me just to look at them. Suddenly, urgently, I wanted to make them go away somehow.
