Ahh, sweet air. There's nothing like that first breath of air you take when you walk out of your last exam. It had been a hard year and it was a relief for it to be over. Though none of the hardwork had compared to the time in Atlantis.
Friends who had also sat the exam, patted me on the back as they walked past. Everyone seemed happy and so did I. Statistics had gone well, and even if it hadn't, it was the last exam to take.
I strolled over the sunny fields, just taking in the beautiful day. It would have been perfect if for one thing. Jade.
I had spent the summer at her house, and loved every second. It had been hard to part with her, to return to England and school. But before I had, I had popped the question. I had to. I knew we were probably to young and everything, but I couldn't imagine a life with out her.
All my friends here thought I was mad. All the girls in town made it obvious they were mine if I wanted them. But I didn't. No one could compare to Jade, and I doubted anyone ever could.
Stepping in my room, a sudden change of wind blew in my face. Instantly on guard, I glanced around. Nothing had been moved, or looked out of the ordinary but I was well aware of other forces that existed. Only last year I had met others with magnificant powers, gaining one myself.
I shut the door quietly.
"Who's there?" I said softly. Out of the corner of my eyes, I noticed the draw next to my bed was glowing. A confused look crossed my face as I opened it. Sat there, was m sapphire stone.
"What?..." I whisped in amazement. It could only mean one thing.
Grabbing it tightly, I wasn't surprised as I was sucked out of my room. A strong wind blew around me, and before I had chance to take a breath, I landed with a thud.
I looked up to see Jade staring at me. I stud up and pulled her into a tight hug.
"Jade." I breathed. Looking round I saw Ellie and William, but the other's hadn't arrived yet.
"What's going on? What's happened?"I asked.
"We don't know yet. Best just waiting for the others to arrive." William said to me.
"All we know so far, is were on some mountian." Jade told me, stepping back.
"And I don't know about you, but I feel so free!" Ellie said, laughing. Opening her wings, she flew into the air laughing all the way.
"God, it feels good to be back into action." I sighed, kissing Jade gently on the lips.
