Being separated from Tammie wasn't something I was at all comfortable with. Also the idea of combat training in a shirt that just covered me wasn't exactly comforting either. When I got to where I was told to go I saw two people. Romulus all hidden among his black clothing and then this very tall guy.
"Ah, here she is" Romulus commented. "Now, I best go and organize how to get the others here. Kayley is suggesting drugging them"
I was then left in the room with the abnormally large angel. "Uh, hi" I muttered awkwardly. The angel grunted and gestured for me to follow. He led me out of the caves and into a forest.
I started trying to work out if this was a possible escape route. "Don't try to run. This place is fenced in by an electric wall" the man informed me seeing me glancing around. "I do like your spirit though. I'm Felix. I will be personally training you"
"What did Romulus mean others?" I questioned.
Felix chuckled. "You aren't the only one's that we chose as part of our children are the future scheme" he says walking off. Wanting to know more I quickly followed. "You're all gonna be trained by different people"
"Because we find one on one training more successful" he says. "We can focus more on the apprentice making sure they are focus and performing right"
"You're not getting it easy"
"I didn't sign up for any of this"
"Tough?!" I snapped my hands curling into fists. "I don't have to stay here and learn if I don't want to!"
Felix chuckled stopping in his tracks and smiling down at me. "Oh yes we can. If you don't learn, Morgan, you're going to find life here very tough" he says calmly.
"Is that a threat?"
"No, I am telling you the honest truth" he says and tugs a knife from his belt. Automatically I move back and Felix smiles. "Good, you have an instinctive defense reflex"
"I don't see being scared as good" I retorted.
Felix twirled the knife in his hand. "Well, over the next few days I'm going to teach you everything that Romulus taught me"
"You were trained by Romulus?" I blinked shocked.
"I'm the only person who has ever and will ever be trained by Romulus" Felix says his eyes going a bit distant.
"Why is that?"
"Cause he doesn't need to. He has his lacky's to do it while he leads us"
"So he's lazy"
Felix's face hardened and I could sense I had stepped on a nerve. "Don't push your luck around her, Morgan"
"How do you know my name? I didn't tell you it"
"We did do our research" Felix smirked. "Now, we need to train"
Okay, that's just creepy.
