This may not be the best idea you have ever had, but you are determined to see it through to the end. You have no digging equipment of any kind, but you're not stupid. You find a sizeable rock and start scraping away at the dirt. It's very hard work and makes you even more tired than you were before. You keep on digging.
Eventually, you have a hole about a foot deep and decide that will have to do. You have no energy to dig any further. You slowly pile some twigs over the hole, balancing them very carefuly so that they will give way should a rabbit stand on them. You then cover the twigs with leaves, smaller twigs and some bits of moss. It's getting dark, you lean against a tree and wait.
A crunching sound wakes you with a start, how long have you been asleep? You have no idea but before you have any time to think about it you see that there is something trying to climb out of your trap. On closer inspection you see that, by some miracle, you have captured a rabbit. Now you just have to figure out what to do with it.
You've never killed anything before, you're not really sure how you're going to go about it. There are rocks nearby and you decide the easiest way will be to hit it on the head, once. A clean strike can kill a person so it has to work. You feel sick at the thought but you're just so hungry. If you let it go you would have to look for another food source.
