Divinity
I wake up.
My breasts ache, my legs ache, the space in between them aches, my whole body aches.
To my left lies an angel, his curls tousled, sparkling in the morning light that enters the room from a window, his exquisite eyes closed, a peaceful expression on his face.
I look away, at the ceiling, and run my hands over my body. The aching wouldn't stop anytime soon, but I don't mind, it's quite pleasant.
Once again I look at the angel beside me. He opens his eyes and smiles lovingly.
I realize that last night was not just a dream.
I wake up.
My breasts ache, my legs ache, the space in between them aches, my whole body aches.
Next to me lies a miracle, a fragile wonder, a tiny bundle of the great truth that we call life.
The baby moves in its sleep.
I realize that this divine creature is mine
