As the train came to a halt, I looked both ways before climbing out of the freight car I had hitched a ride in hours earlier.
Catching my breath, I jumped to my feet, looking both directions as I dusted off my old blue jeans.
This last minute decision to track down my long lost sister, was not one of my more thought out plans. The fight with mum earlier speeded up the process a few days,so planning was scarce.
I headed across the tracks to the train depot, hoping to find directions. Before I could make it halfway I was distracted by a boy in the distance. He must have been about my age, he was alone holding a duffle bag bigger then he was.
I changed my course to his direction out of curiosity, I need direction anyway. So I slowly proceeded toward his location
