I love the silence and pureness of the world after heavy rains, as if all the stains of humanity have been washed away, leaving only serene and rare silences. For a few minutes, it seems as if I am the only person left on earth. Then a dog barking pierces this perfect world like a dagger, and time goes by once more.
The rain starts falling again, dripping against the roof like an oddly beautiful and gentle apocalypse. Diamonds of water weep down the windows, and afterwards the night is cool and ready to be stained by humanity once more.
