She was everything he could see.
He watched her as she read, her corkscrew curls set in auburn across her shoulders. Her fingers were pale, even on paper, and her nails slightly ragged from nervous biting. She was pixie-like, with almost pointed ears and a rounded nose, Cupid-bow lips, and wide green eyes, full of mischief.
She definitely wasn't perfect, but, as his fingertips reached up and traced the light spattering of freckles across her nose and under her eyes, and she glanced at him warmly, he knew for certain he was in love with her.
