Hurricane - Olathe

Pamela guided Selange through the graves, her eyes already pooling with fresh tears as the memories rushed back at the sight of the marker towards right of the yard. Whilst Selange dropped down on her knees, Pamela hung back and read the engraved name of her father over and over again, just as she'd done countless time before.
"Mama?" Selange pulled on Pam's dress. "Papi wants to talk to you now." The brunette girl moved on to the others next to her grandfather's grave, similar in reason for death only.
Pamela dropped down in the grass before her father's grave and leaned over to kiss the cold marble. "I love you, Papa... I will never forget you..."
She stood and walked away with her daughter, reminiscing on the lives taken by Katrina.
