Blood pounded like a river in my ears, whilst the gale around me blew my hair out of place- not that it had ever been perfect beforehand. My bare toes touched the strands of dirt seconds before it tumbled away; fear drew my eyes away.
It was a stupid emotion, for I was ready for this jump and had always been. Letting my hands lift to the skies, I dived from the cliff-face.
I could fly with no one to hinder me.
