Lucas Escalation:mature
Since my rescue team and I had been cut off by, things had got steadily worse; we’d acquired a dingy pub, lit by flickering lights. Five of the rescuers were manning the entrances, on the roof, blasting away at anyone who got too close to the front of the building. The last two were stood around a map arguing about how to escape the situation. Crux was booming at the top of his voice every now and then, demanding they hand me over or die. The siege continued for a good couple of hours before an eerie quiet came upon us. The three of us sat nervously around a table, their masks sat on the table, and the rotary saw was leaning against the foot of the chair. We all jumped at the first gunfire, it came from far away, then all hell broke loose, the town was in an eruption of screams and shouts, the clashing of weapons and gunfire. We however stayed in our little hidey hole, listening to the chaos. It wasn’t until there was a familiar shout form outside.
“Lucas!” It was Matt, I rushed to a barred window, and there in combat gear, a dozen betas in company, stood a beaming Matt.
“Matt! In here!” I called back.
His boots thudded on the stone floor, smiling, he didn’t say a word as he pressed a folded piece of paper into my hands. I opened it
Lucas
Your Human’s are waiting in the VIP lounge of my club, Matt will take you there, I will join you once you’ve revealed things to Cody, its time. He’s drunk the potion, the change will begin very soon. But remember we will have words, you forced my hand today, and I will not let you forget it, I will lose men today, you are in my debt.
Joshua
I gulped, and then followed Matt as he turned on his heel and lead me out of the door. Joshua’s men were rushing through the streets, hot on the tails of the rapidly retreating orange coloured defenders. Once we reached the central market we stopped. A massive figure lay lacerated on the ground, it wasn’t moving,
“Crux” I whispered, the head was lying a few feet away. Another circular saw lay discarded by the body, covered in blood. The armour hadn’t stood a chance.
We hurried into the tower and piled onto the portal; where matt promptly sliced his thumb and activated the gate. This time there wasn’t a nauseous feeling or an unwanted collision with a hard object, we just materialised in the cavern. I barged past the Beta’s and a disgruntled Matt and rushed up to the lift, repeatedly hitting the lounge button. The slow pace of the lift gave me time to calm down, which led to me realising what I was wearing, short boxers, and a long t-shirt, I looked like I was in a rather skimpy excuse for a dress. The worst part was my tail out, and I had no way of hiding it. “!^@@” I muttered as the doors opened, and Lucy gasped.
